How to add spice in your daily life
Sometimes you can be stuck in a fucking circle and it’s like your living the same 7 days over and over again and that’s hella boring. However your perception on things have a big fucking impact, your level of gratitude too but that’s a whole other chapter. Also, if you don’t feel like your life is boring, it’s either because you make it not boring or because you’re stuck in your comfort zone and think this is the way to go. Well it is, just not forever. Do you really want to wake up one day at 75 years old and be like shit I did the same thing for 45 + years every week? Or do you want to wake up at 75 years old and remember that time you did something completely spontaneous that was fucking wholesome and made you forget that you had a routine? Don’t get me wrong, a routine is great, but adding spiceeeeee into your routine every week is not bad. In fact, you’ll like it.
Now, of course you probably have a certain routine to follow but sometimes girl don’t take it too seriously, just live. Always remember that you’re going to die either way so if you don’t live your life to its fullest, man what are you really doing?? You still need to be responsible though, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get loose from time to time. L.I.V.I.N.
At the same time, those are also selfcare things that can be done to reconnect with yourself and pamper your beautiful body & soul.
Get your day spicier
- Go get a facial after school/work.
Make that skin glow.
- Masturbate before going to shool/work/any event.
Masturbating keeps you healhy & happy. Like they say, we’re never better served than by ourselves.
- Wake up earlier and take a walk
Look at the sunrise, how beautiful it is. How quiet the world is at that time and how peaceful it is, then take a deep breath and feel the sun on your skin & the wind on your cheeks. Just feel.
- Take that spontaneous trip
Book it. ‘’But I don’t have the money’’ I’m not saying book a 6k trip to Korea if you have 1k in your bank account, I’m saying a little weekend get away and if you do have the money and your reason is a bullshit reason like ‘’I can’t miss work’’ then babe work will be there when you come back and if it isn’t, then it’s a redirection and it wasn’t meant to last anyway. What needs to last though, is your happy soul and something tells me it’d be happier with that trip.
- Call someone you miss and tell them
A little conversation with a loved one will probably put more sun into your day.
- Give
Kindness is chemical, giving to people boosts your love hormone oxytocin. If you think it’s worthless, then just give it a try and watch the look on people’s faces when you’ve lit up their day by giving to them. Also, giving isn’t only about gifts, you can give a compliment, give your approval to someone, give a flower, give your food to your girlfriend, give your old pieces of clothes to someone who needs it (or your sister that’s probably stealing it anyway). Just give.
- Tuesday cinema
I don’t know about you, but usually on Tuesdays the cinema is cheaper. I don’t care if you’re working tomorrow or have a class early, just go alone or bring someone and be spontaneous. Cinema’s not only for Fridays and Saturdays.
- Say yes
Say yes to people (we’re talking things that don’t involve hurting someone). Be a yes person like Chuck, season 5 episode 1 Gossip Girl (don’t almost die in a motorcycle accident please).
However, saying yes to things you wouldn’t usually suggest or approve of, will get you out of your comfort zone and give you experiences you never thought you’d have.
- Eat
If you’re on a diet and been restricting for weeks, just eat one thing that you’ve been craving. My work bestie and I stopped ordering coffee everyday because it was neither good for our work out gains & our money (saving era I guess 😪) and today I ordered one, she ordered one and everybody’s happy we did not exaggerate but man did we enjoyed this fucking coffee.
If you’re not on a diet, then cook your favorite thing ever even though you don’t have the time, take it.
- Dance it out
Bring out your speaker and do the same thing as Meredith and Cristina in season 10, episode 24, 31min54sec (Grey’s Anatomy).
- Take a puppy yoga class
I mean why would you not, you can find it so easily.
- Read a book
Take the time you have to read a book and it’ll make some changes in your week if you never do it. Bonus point is you’ll either learn or fall into whatever fantasy you’re reading.
- Shopping spree
I LOVE going shopping on week days after work, it’s becoming dark outside, there’s not much people at the mall, you have your space and can look around the shops calmly. Also, Zara on weekend is a hell hole and it bends my precious little patience nerve.
- Get on a project
Finally start that project you’ve been wanting to, get to it and hustle it through.
- Adopt an animal
They’re so cute, just take them home and give them a family. ❤ If you already have one, give them love and bring them to a park, play with them, give them a treat out of no where, take time for them because even though a lot is going on in your life, to them you’re their whole life and they need your time.
- Nap
NAPS ARE ELITE I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ELSE. I do take big ass fucking naps and wake up with some drool on my cheek, wondering who the fuck I am and feeling hot as a sauna, but I think that’s what makes them beautiful.
- Go to a restaurant in the city with your fav people
Don’t care at what time you come home, just enjoy the moment, laugh, look pretty, and feel life in your whole body.
- Surprise a loved one
Wether it’s your partner, your children, your friends, your work bestie, one of your family member, do it. Whoever the hell it is, just surprise them. Being with them is already nice so let along seeing them smile because of a surprise you did.
- Be grateful
Look around you and find at least five things that are simple but satisfies you in any kind of way. It can be anything but that’ll put you in the moment and help you be grateful for small things.
Truth is babe, YOU make the magic in your life, no one else. You can choose to see the magic in waking up early to look at the sunrise or you can choose to see how your days suck and you’d like to be somewhere else. YOU decide and if you decide that the little things make you happy, happy you’ll be. There are 365 days in a year, how do you want to spend them? If we asked you on December 31st what you’d like to do in these 52 weeks, what would you say? Your answers are what you should be doing in this year because you’re alive and that’s a damn good enough reason to be happy.
Make the weeks count because feeling alive is what you’ll want to remember when you’re laying in a bed in 50 + years. That’s one big investment. An ecstatic one.
Mwah.
