Delusional professional

Last weekend I asked my brother’s friends (all boys), if they were delulu, or as the dictionary prefers it, delusional. Of course, it took a while to get an answer because they thought I asked them if they were ‘’caring’’ in a relationship (I mean, I love how boys can be so clueless sometimes it’s so funny, no offense though), so anyways, they ended up telling me they weren’t THAT delulu (hard to believe cause I’ve heard them speak about girls…). Which all leads me to my point, are girls more delusional than boys? Is it a sex thing? Or are we all secretly a little bit delulu?

Us ladies & THE delulu

There’s therapy to go through things, and then there’s a good girls talk about a crush you have and your friend hyping you up in the situation. Both works very well.

Although, if you need therapy, go to therapy, this was obviously a joke, but therapy is hella important, don’t sleep on it.

I mean, there’s just something about telling the WHOLE story in absolute deep specific details so your friend understands the complete situation as if she was there. At this point, it’s a whole play you’re recreating. ONE, TWO, SCENE – And then he looked at me but I looked away, and when I looked back he was replacing his hat, but then Sofia came to talk to me and I didn’t see him again, but like, we exchanged multiple eye contacts… SCENE AGAIN.

Ok, this is a soft example, it can definitely go further, depends on the situation, the people that were there (oh it’s so much better when your friend was there and noticed things YOU didn’t), the time & place, etc. Every detail matters to be able to evaluate the whole thing to a psychologic level.

It’s like a detective analysis.

Levels of delusional

In my opinion only, this is not a research.

Level 0 – You are not delusional at all, you put your judgment on rationality and facts, sometimes, evidence is needed too.

Level 1 – You may be shy to admit you’re delulu, maybe you think about some scenarios or overthink the situation in your head, but won’t feed it too much or speak about it in real life.

Level 2 – Level 2 is just being hopeful and wanting a rom-com situation to happen for you.

Level 3 – Thinking everything is a sign, and still being hopeful because it’s nicer to think that way.

Level 4 – ‘’Is he wearing red because it’s my favorite color?’’

Level 5 – You’ve gone blind, please come back to us.

What level are you in?

Also, what’s the most delulu thing you’ve said or thought?

I think I was a level 3 for a long time, have dropped to a level 1 and in the work to be a level 2 LOL. Anyways, still love to hear people telling me about their deluluness.

Men, men, men

Oh, I definitely think men are delusional. Have you ever heard a boy speak about a girl he likes? I did and even though they tend to forget details, they’ll remember a scene they want to remember. Although, lots of men are level 0 delusional, I don’t think it’s a sex thing necessarily because many women aren’t delusional either. It’s more of a person thing if you ask me. If you’re someone that overthinks a lot, you may be a bit more delulu than someone that never does, and that applies whether you’re a man or a woman.

I think, the right guy will have a little delusional in him when it comes to you because they’ll want you to like them. Yet again, it depends on the way they are as a person.

We could also speak about the absolute psychos that think we, women, wear skirts to get their attention and definitely get laid immediately, but hey that’s a level 6 delusional: Jail.

If you’re a person like that, I absolutely despise you. Let us wear what the fuck we want.

Anyways, this said, men can be delusional, I just don’t think a lot of them get far in the levels, or, they’re hiding it pretty good.

Is being delusional a good thing?

Fuck if I know.

Right, wrong, you chose what you want to do with your life and the way you want to see things, as long as it doesn’t harm people around you or you for that matter.

Although, I do think a certain level needs to be toned down, now we gotta keep the rationality in mind or else you might end up disappointed, but I mean, a good delulu talk never hurts anyone.

Whatever way you choose to see things, that’s on you and hopefully you have a bestie that’ll feed your delusions OR bring you back to Earth if you’ve gone too far in the delulu land. Anyways, as it’s been said on Tiktok;

MAY ALL YOUR DELULU BECOME TRULULU, BECAUSE DELULU IS THE SOLULU. Amen ladies.
